英语中词语搭配是否有规律可循这是长期以来人们一直探索的课题。从人类认知的角度,运用认知语言学观点与理论来分析、透视英语搭配现象、探索其中的规律,发现英语搭配与认知形式密不可分,概念范畴化是基础,语言的拟象性和意象性、隐喻是决定词的搭配形式的重要内在因素。

English collocations often cause trouble or confusion to both teachers and students who study English as a foreign language. The problem is whether there are any rules about English collocation that can be learned. Reexamination is made on English collocation in perspective of cognitive linguistics and something looms up gradually. That is, English collocation has something to do with the way of thinking and cognition of the world in English, and categorization, language iconicity and metaphorization play an important role.
