摘要
从复合词的特点出发,分析了复合词在英文报刊中的作用及特点,并通过实例从翻译的角度初步探 讨了英文报刊中复合词翻译的几种方法。
Based on examples, this paper analyzes the functions and characteristics of English compound words used in English newspapers and magazines. Pointing out the importance of the accurate translation of the compound words, the author probes into the basic approaches to translating the compound words in English news reporting.
