Introduces the standard of holding time establishment in austenitizing, and analyses the irrationality of that. On the basis of theoretic analysis,mathematical calculation and experimental measurement, proves the feasibility of holding time shortening in austenitizing. Suggests that the holding time in austenitizing should be shorten by one third.
