Perspective on the Methodology of Research on the History of Modern Calligraphy Schools in View of Research on the Academic School of Calligraphy

当代书坛包括古典派、现代派和学院派三个创作流派。书法流派史的研究切入应该要涉及这样一些问题 :流派的划分、倡导者的作用、流派的生发力、流派的整体风貌与局部阶段、流派之间的关系。

Modern calligraphy field now mainly includes three creation schools:classical school,modern school, and academic school. The research perspectives on calligraphy school history have to cover the following problems: the division of schools, the function of advocators, the incentives for school development, the common and specific characteristics of schools, relations between schools, and school evaluation.
