对《毛选》中“言必称希腊”的一点看法

My Understanding of A Statement by Mao Zedong

本文认为对《毛选》中关于“言必称希腊”一语应有一个完整、准确的理解。毛泽东这里所说的“希腊” ,既指苏联 ,也指英美等资本主义国家 ;既指共产党内教条主义者所背诵的马列主义的个别词句 ,也指当时国内一部分资产阶级学者所鼓吹的西方资产阶级的东西。毛泽东在重点批评党内教条主义者的同时 ,也批评了国内的“全盘西化”论者。他虽反对“言必称希腊” 。

Chairman Mao Zedong had a famous saying in his report Reform Our Study,while he criticized some Communists “Who cannot start to talk without citing Greece”.This statement of Mao Zedong should be understood correctly and thoroughly,the author argues.Greece here not only refers to the Soviet Union,but also some capitalist countries,such as U.K. and U.S.A.He not only criticized those inner-Party dogmatists,but also Chinese bourgeois intellectuals preaching overall bourgeoisie in China.Being against those Greece-talkers,Mao did never oppose learning from foreign countries.
