Through the comprehensive analysis of Deng Xiaoping's main viewpoints and trains of thought in solving the problems which exist in the field of economy in the socialist era, this article expounds Deng's track of consideration that the development of productive forces should be regarded as the most important task in the contemporary socialist practice, and his thought that the transformation of productive relations should be run after unilaterally with no attention paid to productive forces in order to promote the development of productive forces should be denied.
