NEW RECORD AND NEW COMBINATION OF THE GENUS DENHEYERNAXOIDESD FROM FUJIAN, CHINA (ACARI:CUNAXIDAE)

In this paper, Denheyernaxoidinae and Denheyernaxoides are recorded for the first time from China. The species of Denheyernaxoides brevirostris (Canestrini, 1885) is new combination. It is transferred from Cunaxoides to Denheyernaxoides, based on palpus three segmented, distal segment subtriangular, with a small claw, setae P 2 longer than setae P 1, all sensillae are smooth on dorsal propodosoma, setae L 4 and L 5 present on dorsal hysterosoma. Denheyernaxoides brevirostris (Canestrini, 1885) new combination Adult female. Body length including gnathosoma 378-426 long, 184-224 wide. Dorsum (Figure 1): Propodosomal setae P1 and P2 are smooth and slender, setae P2 (28-72) longer than setae P1 (16-22), the latter located on area surrounded by striae. Anterior and Posterior sensillum are smooth, latter (72-98) longer than former (50-80). There are 8 pairs of dorsal setae and 1 pairs of pore on hysterosoma. Dorsal setae D 4 (11-56) and D 5 (32-72) longer others setae. Setae L 4 and L 5 present. Venter (Figure 2): Palpi three segmented, length 42-54. There are 3 outer lateral setae, 1 middle anterior seta and 1 inner seta on femurogenu.. Tibiotarsus subtriangular, with four short setae and one long seta, terminating with bifurcate claw. There are four pairs of hypostome setae, setae hg2 is the longest. Setal formula of coxae I - IV: 3-2-3-3. There are four pairs of genital setae and one pair of paragenital setae on genital region. Two pairs of anal setae and one pairs of pore on anal region Leg (Figure 3-6): legs I-IV are short. Femora of leg III and IV each divided basifemora and telofemora, femora of leg I and II not divided. Chaetotaxy of leg I - IV (including trochanter, basifemora, telofemora, genu, tibia and tarsus), leg I: 0-3+5(4)-4(1)-13(4); leg II: 0-5-4(2)-5-11(1); leg III: 1-1+3-4(2)-4(1)-9; and leg IV: 0-0+1-4(2)-4-9. Specimens examined: Three females, two males and one protonymph were collected on 3 October 1994, from bark of tree Casuarina equisetifolia L. in Fuzhou town, Fujian Province by Fan Qinghai. One protonymph was found on 12 August 1994, from bark of tree Taxus chinensis (Pilg.) var. Mairei (Lemee et Level) in Guanping, Wuyi mountains, Fujian Province by Fan Qinghai. Two females were collected on 7 June 1995, from bark of tree Casuarina equisetifolia L. in Fuzhou town, Fujian Province by Fan Qinghai. One female and one larva were collected on 13 July 1995, from bark of tree Platanus hispanica Muenchh in Youxi county, Fujian Province by Fan Qinghai. One female was collected on 24 September 1995, from bark of tree Buxus sinica var. Parvifolia M. Cheng in Pucheng county, Fujian Province by Lin Jianzhen. Three females were collected on 19 September 1996, from bark of tree Castanea mollissima in Dehua county, Fujian Province by Lin Jianzhen.
