Enhancing Liberal Education at College Level to Cultivate All Round Graduates for the 21st Century

为适应社会发展模式的需要 ,2 1世纪的创新人才必须是和谐完整的人才 ,是科学的工具理性和人文的价值理性完美的统一。因此高校教育就必须“以人为本” ,科学教育和人文教育一起抓 ,以满足社会的需要。

The author suggests that creative professionals of the 21st Century should be all round graduates,who are perfect combinations of scientific instrumental senses and humane value senses. In order to fit into the growth of the society, college level education has to be 'people-oriented', which means combining the natural sciences education well with social sciences education to fulfill the needs of the society.
