Following and Comparing the Chinese and Western criticism theories of transformation from ugliness to beauty, the paper is to give a brief exposition of the difference and coherence of the two theories. The author has tried to probe into the crux of principle in transformation from ugliness to beauty and its positive significance. From that, we can gain a good deal of enlightenment.
