In this article,the author discusses Wang Tongzhao's theory of poetry in eight aspects.He especially emphasized the questions of 'emotion','reason'and'musicalization',the essence of which is to make the emotion and the reason united and to make the musicalization and the contents of thoughts united.He explained that the vigour of style is the unity of the elegance and talent and emotion and the strength of character.He thought that it was difficult to separate new stylistics from old stylistics and that the poems must be created but not be written.All of his opinions represented the sense of literature that merges 'love and beauty'into one and harmonious sense of aesthetics.
