摘要 华夏中心意识使夏夷文野之分成为夏夷之辨的主流观念。夏夷文野之分又因民族矛盾和中外文化冲突而出现两种极端保守的表述形式———夏夷人禽之别和以地之中外划分夏夷的主张。对中华民族的历史进程而言 ,夏夷文野之分与华夏中心意识具有正反两方面的影响 ,而且随着时间的推移 ,其负面影响日益凸现。 Sinocentrism made the differentiation of civilization and barbarism between Chinese and foreign culture become the main sense of the differentiation between the two. Because of the national contradiction and the clash between the Chinese and foreign culture, the differentiation of civilization and barbarism between them was expressed in two extremely conservative forms-the difference between human beings and beasts as between the two, the view that the two should be distinguished according to the distance to the central part of china. The differentiation of civilization and barbarism between the two and sinocentrism had both the positive and the negative effects on the course of the Chinese history.With the time passing, their negative effect became clearer.
