In Whitehead's sociological concept, civilization embodied five characters of truthfulness, beauty, adventure, art and peace. The five characters are mutually connected and penetrated. Art, of course, covers the rest four characters, while adventure becomes a very important and outstanding factor. Adventure is the core of Whitehead's art interest. Whitehead expounded his adventurous art interest from the angle of the demand of the development of civilization and the metaphysical principle. This is of reference significance to the development of Chinese culture, Chinese art and even the Chinese civilization.
