This paper mainly discusses the characteristic of Components GIS and the advantage of using ComGIS technology to develop Tourism Information System. And explains the shortage of using traditional GIS technology to develop system. The process of using the component with VB to develop Jingzhou Tourism Information System are simply introduced.
