摘要牛顿生前勤于阅读和写作,但由于害怕争论,不情愿发表著作。他的异教观点和当时公众对炼金术的看法也使得他在神学和炼金术方面的著述难以面世。所以,牛顿去世时留下了大量的内容不为人知的手稿。这些手稿在很长的时间没有得到充分的利用。本文综述牛顿手稿的收藏及流传情况,尤其是牛顿自己保存的手稿在后来的命运。
