System Identification Method for Evaluating the Effect of Thickness Error on Backcalculated Pavement Layer Moduli

摘要 Based on system identification theory and FWD testing data, the effect of thickness error on backcalculating pavement layer moduli is studied and the method of singular value decomposition (SVD) is presented to solve the morbidity problem of sensitivity matrix in this paper.The results show that the thickness error has great effects on the backcalculated pavement layer moduli. The error of backcalculated moduli can be controlled within the range of ±15% by limiting the thickness error within the range of ±5%.
