The Establishment of English Teaching System with Higher Vocational Education Characteristics

高职教育人才培养模式和教学目标的独特性要求建立起具有高职特色的英语教学体系。高职英语教学目标应定位在使学生掌握"够用"的英语基本知识,获取一定的综合英语应用能力和有效的英语学习方法三个层面上;教学内容应根据第二语言习得规律和时代对外语教育的要求进行选定;教学过程应根据"以学习者为中心"的教学理论来组织;学生学习状况和教学情况,应用以学期为单位的同步水平测试体系来检测。

It is quite necessary and urgent to estab lish a unique EFL teaching system with characteris tics of the higher vocational educa tion.The system's teaching objectives should focus on a mastery of'suffi-cient 'language knowledge,a com mand of a certain compre hensive practical abili ty and some efficient learning methods.It is pro posed that the teaching materials should comply with the gen eral law of SLA and the re quire ments of the society development.During teach ing,the'learner-cen tered'teach ing principle should be adopted to facili tate the organization of vocational English teaching and the realization of teach ing objectives.And a term-based testing system is expected to be set up to check stu dents' learning condi tion and teaching results and complete the establishment of the whole system.
