Discussion on information-directed routing in wireless sensor network

传感器网络集成了传感器、计算机和网络三大技术,是一种全新的信息获取和处理技术。信息驱动路由就是基于信息的内容和通信开销来决定节点的选择,以达到优化信息获取和降低通信开销的目的。介绍了几种信息驱动路由的具体算法,并对其进行了分析比较。

Sensor network , which is the combination of sensor , computer and network , is a novel technology for information acquiring and processing. Information-directed routing is formulated as a joint optimization of data transport and information aggregation. The routing objective is to minimize communication cost, while maximizing information gain. This paper introduces some typical algorithms of information-directed routing, and compares the capability of these algorithms.
