Comparison of Mao Zedong' s and Den Xiaoping' s Thought on the Development of Agriculture

建国后,毛泽东在推动农业发展的过程中提出了通过社会革命与技术革命发展农业的思路,丰富和发展了社会主义农业经济理论,另一方面,主观上对革命手段的过分强调而使这一思路失去了进一步完善和发展的机会。邓小平在改革开放的实践中对前人的经验教训进行了科学地扬弃,提出发展农业一靠政策二靠技术的发展思路,赋予制度变革和技术进步以全新的时代精神,掀起解放农村生产力的又一高潮,把我国农业现代化引进一个新的发展阶段。

During the development process of new China's agriculture, Mao Zedong put forward the idea of developing agriculture by Social Revolution and Technological Revolution. This thought enriched and developed the economical theory of the socialist agriculture while it lost its chance of further development because of Mao Zedong's subjective overemphasis on the revolutionary means. During the course of opening up and reform, Deng Xiaoping developedly drew a lesson from the experience of the former, and formed a new thought that a-griculture' s development must depend on the proper polices and new technology. This thought endowed the change of social system and technology with new era's spirit, and at the same time started another climax of liberating the agricultural productivity, then pushed forward the modernization of agriculture to a new stage.
