欧洲在两次世界大战后失去了在科技领域的优势地位,面对激烈的国际竞争,西欧加强了在科技领域的合作,走出了一条联合自强的道路。尤其是自20世纪80年代以来,欧盟逐步形成了共同的科技政策,并制订科研规划,推动了欧洲一体化的进程,提高了欧盟的科技和经济实力。

Especially since the eighties of the 20th century, the European Union has formed some common scientific and technological policies progressively, and made scientific research plans, which have improved the strength in the fields of science, technology and e-conomy of the European Union, and have promoted the process of European integration.
