浅谈庄子的“时”与“命”

A Preliminary Discussion on Zhuangzi' s Idea of Time and Fate

“命”和“时”是庄子人生哲学中的两个重要概念,两者之间既有区别又有联系。其共同点在于它们都是客观的;其不同点是“命”是不可认识的,人在命运面前无能为力,而“时”却可以认识,人能够在认识“时”的基础上发挥主观能动性以适应“时”的需要。认识到此,对人的活动有重大的指导作用。

Fate' and 'time' are two important ideas in Zhuangzi's philosophy of life, and there are some differences and relations between them. Both of them are objective, but 'fate' cannot be perceived while 'time' can be perceived. Therefore, people can do some things to suit the time under the grounds of knowing about it, thus it helps to guide people's activities.
