EPON中ONU的自动发现过程和冲突解决方案

在EPON中,所有的ONU只有在得到了OLT的授权后才能发送数据。因此OLT必须周期性地执行自动发现过程,以便发现网络中是否加入了新的ONU。本文主要说明EPON中的ONU的自动发现和注册过程,定义了这个过程中使用的MPCP消息。并简单介绍了当有多个ONU企图在同一时刻注册而发生冲突时的解决方案。

Since every ONU in EPON system can't transmit upstream unless it gets the grants from OLT, OLT should implement auto discovery process periodically in order to find out whether there is any new ONU that has been adding into the network. This paper describes ONU auto discovery and registration, and defines the MPCP message used in that process. Additionally, it proposes two resolutions for contention witch will occur when two or more ONUs attempt to register at the same time.
