人的全面发展是人自身发展的最高目标,表现为人的能力的全面发展,社会关系的全面发展以及人的自由个性的充分发展。在以人的依赖关系和以物的依赖关系的社会里,不可能实现人的全面发展,只有共产主义才是人的全面发展的理想社会。社会主义社会是人的全面发展的必经阶段,我们必须加强物质文明和精神文明建设,建立起丰富和谐的社会关系,从而推进人的全面发展的实现。

The overall development of man is the highest objective of self-development. It includes the overall development of man's abilities, social relationship, and free personality of man. It is impossible to realize the overall development of man in a man-dependent and material-dependent society. Only communist society is the ideal society for man's overall development while socialist society is the necessary stage for man's overall development. Therefore, material civilization and spiritual civilization must be strengthened, and rich and harmonious social relationship must be established to promote the realization of man's overall development.
