要更好地为社会经济发展服务 ,大学英语教学面临着巨大挑战。长期以来 ,虽然在教学中做过多种努力和改革 ,但是 ,学生的语言实际应用能力与其应试能力相比还很薄弱。其主要原因是 ,把英语作为一门学科而不是语言来教。教学中 ,采用观看英文影片的方法 ,为学生提供语言学习的自然环境 ,加大了语言、文化的有效输入 ,增强学生对外语学习的兴趣 。
