近几年来 ,由于受烟草业的影响 ,玉溪经济波动较大。而从玉溪经济发展的现实情况看 ,要实现玉溪经济的恢复性增长 ,除了在巩固烟草产业发展的前提下积极做好经济结构调整之外 ,还必须统筹城乡经济社会发展 ,着力解决好“三农”问题 ;大力发展个体私营经济 ;实施可持续发展战略 ,促进人口、资源。

In recent years Yuxi’s economy fluctuated greatly with the tobacco industry. The recovery increase of Yuxi’s economy will involve structural adjustment on the basis of further strengthening the tobacco industry, an overall plan for city and country economic development, better solutions to the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, stronger efforts to develop private economy, and adopting sustainable development strategies.
