In such a world of knowledge explosion, as English teachers, we should try to overcome some shortcomings in our traditional teaching and make efforts to help our students for their sustainable development.For this purpose, this paper focuses on the development of students in terms of their metacognitive awareness, metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive experience.
