The system of the town ship played a very important role in Chinese ancient overseas trade.The paper tries to set forth briefly on the change of the managerial system of the town ship trade from the system of the town ship in the sprouting stage,in the developing and flourishing stage and in the declining stage along with its functions in Chinese ancient overseas trade in order to make the readers understand a complete thread of thought about one of the managerial systems of Chinese ancient overseas trade.
