19世纪中叶至20世纪初,东北地区通过移民垦荒发展起粮豆经济。粮豆贸易的外向型经济立足于本土经济的开发中,推动农村开始了一场缓慢却是渐进的社会变革,扭转了东北地区工、商业落后的局面,给代表民族利益、具有地方特色的粮豆加工工业注入了发展的生机,既收到了短期的经济效益,也奠定了长远的发展基础。
