Ten big shifts faced by Chinese private universities

为了促进我们民办高校沿着正确的方向、持续健康的向前发展,根据我国民办高校任务、地位、作用及目前的现状,指出了其面临的十大转变:由规模效益向质量效益转变;由培养一技之长向培养岗位职业群转变;人们对其认识由高等专科向高职转变;教师队伍由流动性向相对稳定性转变;教师素质由学科型向双师型转变;政府对其管理由粗放型向规范型转变;其内部管理由随意性向科学性转变;生源结构由学历生、自考生为主向统招生为主转变;经费来源由非政府渠道向银行贷款、政府拨款等综合筹资形式转变;学校经费投入由重视招生宣传向重视内涵发展转变。

In order to keep Chinese private universities developing healthily in a correct direction, according to the mission, status, function and present condition of Chinese universities, this paper points out that Chinese private universities are facing ten big shifts, namely, from scale-benefit to quality-benefit; from cultivation of one-skill personnel to cultivation of versatile people; from higher special institute to senior vocational institute; from mobility to stability of teachers; from academic-oriented teachers to multi-gifted teachers; the governmental management of private universities from extensive to standard; the internal management of private universities from random to scientific; the student constitution from self-educational to unified enrollment; funding resources from non-governmental channel to bank loan and governmental appropriations; from emphasis on enrollment advertising to emphasis on the connotative development.
