摘要
在大学英语教师综合素质和专业发展实证研究的基础上,本文就教师的教学信念、对自身发展的认识和期待、对待科研的态度以及这些因素对英语教学的影响进行了分析,指出,教师的信念与教师的行为相关,而教师专业发展则是提高教学质量的关键因素。
Based on the research into the college English teachers’ essential qualities and professional development, the paper attempted to explore the teachers’ beliefs, awareness and expectations of self-development and attitudes toward research. It also analyzed the impact of such factors on teaching. The argument put forward in this paper is that the teacher development is a key factor in effective teaching as the teachers tend to act in accordance with their expressed beliefs.
