Where Is the Soul of Sculpture Art Education

雕塑艺术教育表面上的强大并没有掩盖实质上的虚弱。有不少本科生和研究生在面对实在的社会市场时难以招架。雕塑教育失魂了。失魂的根本原因是:重“技”轻“道”。为此,我们必须加强传统造型精神和中国文化精神的灌输。

On the surface, sculpture art education is formidable, but does not conceal fundamental weaknesses. Many undergraduates and gradu- ates find it difficult to face them in the practical social markets. Sculpture Education has lost its soul. The basic reason of losing its soul is: to focus on 'technique' and neglect 'principle'. Therefore, we must strengthen the sense of traditional sculpturing and Chinese culture to indoctrinate.
