Langmusi,a Sma Town with Infinite Charm

郎木寺镇,位于四川若尔盖县和甘肃省碌曲县交界处。自上个世纪70年代中期,国外游客就陆续接而至,先后有100多个国家和地区的游客在这里留下他们的足迹。街市虽有些古旧,却透出几分繁华,经常人潮涌动,甚至摩肩接踵。

Langmusi is a neglected small town located at the juncture of Zoige County, Sichuan Province and Luqu County, Gansu Province. However, in the 1940s, an American missionary came here and stayed for a decade or so. He wrote a book titled Tibet Life recording what he saw and hearted. This book, which was then published in USA, introduced the high mountains, grasslands, temples, local conditions and customs on the east fringe of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, making the small town known to many westerners. In recent years, more and more visitors from western countries come here to gain firsthand experience in the mysterious place. As a result, Langmusi Town has become lively and prosperous.
