Huaxiba(Western China Flatland)is the former name used by old Chengdu citizens for today's Western China Medicar (?)e ter of Sichuan University(formerly Western China University of Medical Science).It is the birthplace of West China's modern higher education.which was first established by 5 Christian associations of USA.UK and Canada at the beginning of last century.Generations of people made remarkable contributions to education,scientific research,medical and healthcare service on the land.Besides,the architectures in the style of a combination of Chinese and Western elements designed by Fred Rowntree,a British architect in the early 20th century are also an eye-catching attraction.After nearly 100 year's vicissitudes,these architectures are well-preserved and used to serve educational undertaking.
