Application and Analysis of Student-centered Activities Organized in an English Class

开展以学生为中心的英语课堂教学实践活动及问卷调查显示,高职教师应实现以教师为中心到以学生为中心的教学理念的转变,让学生作为学习主体充分参与到学习的过程中来,鼓励学生对自己的学习负责,从而最大限度地激发其学习兴趣。教师在课堂活动的组织中还应注重满足学生的需求,教导学生如何在相关活动中学习和提高自身能力。

This paper points out that English teachers in polytechnic colleges should have their teaching based on 'Student-centered Activities' instead of 'Teacher-centered' by providing related examples and corresponding questionnaire. It also emphasizes that it should be the students who take part in the learning activities as main participants and take the responsibility for their own studies. Teachers cannot teach students everything but help them learn and make improvement by themselves in classroom activities, with focuses on meeting the students' needs and making students well motivated.
