The flourishing Tang Dynasty produced a large number of frontier poems which were beautiful in ideological content and artistic qualities. They truly reflected the historical phenomenons of frequent wars in the borderland and the meritorious deeds performed by people with high ideals. They also artistically depicted the heroic spirit of the garrison soldiers' fearlessness and their patriotism of devoting themselves to the country. The frontier poems have permeated with the great national spirit.
