摘要
大学英语教师素质是影响大学英语教学效果的重要因素之一。本文通过实证定量分析发现:教师的一些基本特征如年龄、性别上的差异和教学能力、教学方法的差异造成了学生语言成绩上的显著性差异。虽然学生的语言成绩受到多种因素影响,但是教师的素质显然是重要因素之一。切实增强责任心,提高业务水平无疑是教师发展重要的方向,是提高学生语言素质的必由之路。
College English teachers' quality is one of the most important factors to affect teaching results.This paper based on quantitative research finds that several teachers' characters,such as age and gender difference have significant difference with their students' English achievements,but with respect to teachers' quality,it only appears on teachers' teaching ability and teaching methods shows significant difference with students' CET score.
