"天志"、"明鬼"是墨子宗教思想的主要内容,这些思想是当时社会现实的产物,具有深刻的时代背景和社会根源。当时社会宗教信仰淡漠,社会失治现象层出不穷,赏罚机制严重缺失,致使社会治理出现混乱局面。"天志"、"明鬼"思想就是墨子针对这些社会现象提出的整饬社会的方案之一。
