伴随着西方列强势力的侵入,中国东北营口开港,基督新教传教士为了传播基督教,在吉林创办了许多教会学校,对吉林地区近代教育的发展起了一定的积极作用。

With the invasion of western imperialist and Yingkou Port opened in the northeast of China,Christianity missionaries set up many schools in order to diffuse Christian doctrines in Jilin area.These schools played an active role in the development of education in modern Jilin province.
