The Correctness and Complement of the Functional Words' Meaning in Ancient Chinese

实词易训,虚词难诂。本文选录王力先生《古代汉语》教材中虚词注而未当或当注未注者数则,提出 质疑,以期对古代汉语教学有拾遗补阙之用。

There goes the old saying it is easy to explain the notional words but difficult the functional words'. True it is. Ancient Chinese, compiled by Wangli, is acknowledged as an excellent textbook. However, the explanation for functional words is still open. In this paper, the author cites some examples of functional words which are not explained or misexplained, hoping to make good omissions and deficiencies in revising the textbook and teaching ancient Chinese.
