Western culture has always been fraught with the elements of sex worship. The Classics of Taoism written by Lao Zi, a great philosopher and founder of Taoism sets a high value on the female genitalia. The idea of preserving health based on a healthy sexual life reached its acme in the Tang Dynasty and even penetrated many aspects of Buddhism at that time. After the Song and Yuan dynasties, as the Confucian school of ideological philosophy thrived, sex culture was gradually going down to still and turning to be covert. Only in the on-going western development, can we be able to understand the deep connotation of sex culture in a scientific and healthy way.
