艾轩,著名诗人艾青之子,北京画院画家,中国现代美术乡土写实主义的代表人物。他把自己的视角投向荒凉偏僻的川西地区和青藏高原,把目光长时间停留在荒凉的高原人物和景色中,从中找到了表达自我感受的灵感和素材,并经过自己的反复思考、琢磨和研究,形成自己独特的创作语言,走出了一条与众不同的创作之路,刻画了一群孤独的藏区人物。他的画被称为中国最忧郁的底色。
Ai Xuan, a famous Chinese painter and the representative figure of the rustic realism in contemporary art history. He is the son of Ai Qing, a celebrated poet of China. With special affections on Tibet and Tibetan-populated areas in western Sichuan Province he made dozens of journeys to these areas to draw inspiration and seek subject matters. He has eventually carried out a painistaking and out-of-the-ordinary way for his artistic creation. He portrayed a number of people with the rich flavor of life. His paintings are recognized as the most melancholy bottom color in China.
