高西沟绿从何来

当年,陕西省米脂县高西沟曾是与大寨一起竞争中国“农业学哪个”的典型村庄。高西沟“落败”后,村民以不违背自然规律的科学态度,在“要粮要田”的激情年代,主动退耕还林还草,而且一坚持就是40年。

In those years when farmers were called to bring about vigorous upsurge in farmland capital construction, Gaoxi Gulley in Mizhi County, Shaanxi Province distinguished itself as an outstanding village, eligible to compete with Dazhai production brigade for the pacesetter to be learned from in agriculture across the country. After Gaoxi Gulley lost to Dazhai, Gaoxi villagers were not disheartened. With a scientific approach, they restored the reclaimed land to meadows on their own initiative in those fervent years when the practice of opening up wasteland prevailed and kept doing so for 40 years.
