Diplomatic Envoys to Foreign Countries in Sichuan Province

金色九月,秋高气爽,美丽的天府之国四川迎来了一批尊贵的客人--以我国驻意大利大使程文栋为团长的驻外使节赴川考察团一行45人,在四川进行了为期7天的参观、考察和调研.

Adelegation made up of 45 diplomatic envoys to foreign countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Cheng Wendong, the ambassador to Italy paid visit to and made investigation in Sichuan Province from Sept. 4 to 10, 2004. During their inspection tour, the envoy delegation visited such sites of natural beauty and historical interest as Jiuzhaigou, Sanxingdui, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Mt. Qingcheng, Dujiangyan and the Giant Panda Breeding Base. They were profuse in their praise for the booming tourism industry of Sichuan Province. At the same time, they exchanged ideas with the officials in charge of economic work and representatives from some of enterprises and suggested ways and means for the economic development of Sichuan Province.
