The Dadu River winds its way, roaring with terrifying waves through Mt. Washan, the last threshold in the southwestern rim of the Sichuan Basin, forming a geologic section, 17 km long and thousands of meters thick, from Wusihe Town in the west to Yongli Township of Hanyuan County, Sichuan Province in the east. So, the Dadu River Gorge is deep and precipitous as the banks of the river stand opposite each other. The gorge engrosses visitors with its imposing spectacle.
