清中叶戏曲家李天根创作多种剧作,其《白头花烛》传奇据明代实事改编,与其后的《义贞记》传奇、《白头新》杂剧题材相似,但本事完全不同,文章依据剧本信息,从系列材料中考辨出两种剧作取材本事的流变。指出剧作中演绎了一场士人在传统信仰与社会现实间折中的黄粱事业。
