Research on Intertextual Theory of Situational Irony——Taking Tess of the D'Urbervilles and The French Lieutenant's Woman as Examples

本文在互文理论的框架内研究具有"阶段互文性(staged-intertextuality)"的情景反讽。我们通过案例发现,前文本通过互文手法使文本的语境产生压力,语义发生了扭曲,呈现了"始料未及、人类的弱点、对立性、结局(损失或赢的经历)"四个特点,从而形成了情景反讽。

This essay aims to study situational irony(SI),staged-intertextuality,with the theory of intertextuality as the framework foundation.Through the investigation of situational ironic events in literary works,we can come to the process of a SI that a pretext causes pressure to the context of the text by the devices of intertextuality,with the meaning of the text twisted,showing the features of SI such as"unexpectedness,human frailty,opposition,and outcome(the experience of loss or win)".
