"I'll never be a museum piece"——An interview with Philip Brking of Komische Oper Berlin

对于柏林喜歌剧院歌剧总监菲利普·布罗肯(Philip Br(o|¨)king)来说,中国并不算是一个陌生的国度。2008年10月,是他的第4次中国行——应上海戏剧学院的邀请,来为该院艺术管理专业的学生举办专业讲座。我们相识于他的第二场讲座之前。远远地,他和陪同的人从校园的小径上走过来,大约一米七十六七的个头,身着休闲外套、衬衫,牛仔裤,背上是一个鼓鼓囊囊的旅行包,一双大大的眼睛中流露出的是真诚、友善和纯真。

In 2004,Philip Br(o|¨)king took up the post of Artistic Manager of the Komische Oper,which is one of the three major opera houses in Berlin.Since the beginning of 2005,Br(o|¨)king has become Opera Director there.A tireless reformer,Broking brought new ideas to his new home;therefore,the Komische Oper underwent a revolution."When I came here,I was like a cockswain regulating the course,this was a big move.
