摘要
本文介绍了图像视频监控系统的发展过程,分析了基于IP组播与MPEG-4视频编码的网络视频监控系统的特点和优势,并给出了应用于电力系统安全生产监控的一个实例。实际应用表明,基于MPEG-4标准和IP组播技术的系统具有更高的压缩率、更高的网络带宽利用率等特点。
In this paper the author introduces evolution of picture video surveillance system, analyze the characteristic and advantage of the network video surveillance system based on IP multicast & MPEG- 4 video coding, and gives an instance of surveillance system which is used in power system for safety operation surveillance. Practical application indicated that the system basis on MPEG ~ 4 standard and IP multicast has some characteristics, such as the compression rate, the network width utilization ratio would be higher etc.
