摘要
在中国教育研究领域,始终并存着两种"直接教学法":教育心理学范畴的"直接教学法"(direct instruction)和外语教学法范畴的"直接教学法"(direct method)。在对这两者进行充分比较之后,本文作者提议,保留教育心理学范畴的"直接教学法"的名称,而将外语教学法范畴的"直接教学法"更名为"目的语教学法",以避免概念的混淆和误解。
"Direct instruction" in Educational Psychology and "Direct Method" in Language Teaching Methodology cause confusion in China because they adopt the same Chinese name.This essay makes an attempt to tell them apart from several aspects,and accordingly suggests that it is desirable to maintain the Chinese name for "direct instruction",while rename "direct method" in Chinese in the sense of "target language method".
