在市场经济和流行文化的当前,香港话剧如何应对冲击?答案是两条腿走路。在经济的范畴,一方面接受政府队文艺团体的资助,另一方面有呼应政府"用者自负"的要求,积极开拓市场,把话剧资产化,不得不迎合观众的口味和要求。在文化的范畴,话剧结合高雅与流行文化的因素,或从高雅迎合流行文化的要求,或从流行文化出发,提升到高雅的层次。香港话剧竭力再发明自己,不断求变,以创造可行的营运生态。
