In order to demonstrate the influence of Chinese culture on Japanese culture, this paper analyzes the music played during the Tokyo Gion Festival and reviews the literature, arguing that the name "Yamahoko-junko" (the parade of colorful floats) dates back to the time during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong in the Tang Dynasty in China.
